Who Will Die On Game Of Thrones Season 3?

Game of ThronesGame of Thrones is one of the hottest shows on television right now. It seems that everyone has either watched this series or wants to. It really is that good! Unfortunately, if you’ve already seen the first two seasons, you know that the writer, George R.R. Martin, doesn’t care who he kills off.  Someone is going to die in Game of Thrones Season 3. Since I’ve read all of the books to date, I didn’t think it was fair to give away any secrets for those of you just watching the series. Instead, I had a poll to see who people thought would end up dying (or wanted to die). The answers below are only from people who watched the first two seasons. Still, I must tell you that WARNING: Spoiler alerts if you haven’t been watching. So, who do you think will bite it in this season of Game of Thrones, which starts on March 31st?

Game of Thrones: Theon Greyjoy

Theon has always been a bit of a jerk. He’s a womanizer who’s hormones are going on overdrive and he’s turned on his friend, Robb, and taken over his castle. On top of that, Theon has killed two orphan boys to make people believe that he killed Robb’s brothers. He even killed the poor old man that taught him how to fight. Yeah. Theon’s pretty much a dick. At the end of the second season, Theon had taken over Winterfell, faked the deaths of Bran and Rickon Stark, and was ready to take up defense against hundreds of an unknown enemy. He gave a great battle speech and was suddenly hit in the back of the head? Who did it? Is he dead? We’ll find out his fate in Season 3 our readers are betting. The guess is too many tears won’t be shed for this guy.

Game of Thrones: Joffrey Baratheon

This is the bastard child of Queen Cersei and Jamie Lannister. He is currently the king that sits on the iron throne. Of all of the people I asked, he’s the person everyone wants to see die. The character is so hated, one person even said they want to see this guy die painfully. That’s good acting and good writing. I’m sure this actor can’t be a bad person, but people want his character out of the picture. I don’t blame them. He treats everyone, including his mother, like garbage. As of the end of last season, we’ve learned that not only is he a little creep, but he’s a coward, as well. Someone, put this kid out of our misery!

Game of Thrones: Robb Stark

In the first season, we saw Ned Stark killed. His oldest son has been fighting a war all of this time against the evil Lannisters and our readers are pretty sure he’s going to meet the pointy end of the sword. Plus that, most people seem to like him so it puts him in the crosshairs. If you’ve learned nothing after two seasons of Game of Thrones, you know that if you like the character, they are short-lived. Their case is pretty compelling, though. Robb’s in harm’s way, fighting a superior army. Also, he’s just betrayed some of his allies by marrying Talisa Maegyr (Jeyne Westerling in the books) while his mother, Catelyn, freed Jaime Lannister. Will it be an end for Robb?

Game of Thrones: Stannis Baratheon

Stannis is the remaining brother of the dead king, Robert Baratheon. He believes that he is the rightful heir to the throne since his older brother didn’t have any children with the queen. At the end of the last season, he sails up the Blackwater river to take out King’s Landing, but fails. We don’t know what happens to him, but he escapes. Will the Lannisters end up killing him? Can he survive the Game of Thrones?

Game of Thrones: Samwell Tarly

Poor Sam. He’s an overweight boy who what sent to the Wall by his father. Sam is afraid of everything, including his own shadow. He has no business of being up North, but his father is a jerk who told him if he Sam didn’t, he’d kill him. In the very last scene of the last episode, Sam the coward was seen clutching to a rock and praying while hundreds of White Walkers moved past him. How will he ever escape?
