The Haiku News: Week of June 5th

HaikuIt’s time once again for the Haiku News for the week of June 5th, 2011.  This week in the news, there are more headlines attacking Anthony Weiner and Weinergate.  Sarah Palin is back in the news with her vast knowledge and grasp of U.S. history and the NBA finals.  Haiku is the three line Japanese poem that is based upon syllables.  You usually learn about it in school.  The adult version of this usually tries to be humorous and switch some of the details around to tell a story. The Zen Of The Tweet: Twitter Skills For Newbies

TwitterTwitter is one of the great social media sites.  I love it because it fits almost everyone’s lifestyle.  It’s as fast as 140 characters and if you want to delve deeper into it, you can.  It’s a shame that more people don’t “get” Twitter.  A lot of people think it is a tool to tell people the mundane things going on in their lives.  For example: ‘I am now walking to my car and it is hot’ or ‘I am having lunch’.  It is much more than that and the more you learn about Twitter, the more helpful you will find it.  You can use it in your personal life or for your business.  I put together this list of tips to help you develop your Twitter skills.  Hopefully, this will help you understand some of the basics.  Good luck with your tweeting and mastering this social phenomenon. The Haiku News: Week of May 29th

haikuLast week I wrote five Haikus that described the news for the week.  I got several positive emails back on this simplified way of reading the news, so I thought I’d write another one for this week.  If you are not sure what a haiku is, it is a Japanese poem written in three lines with five syllables in the first line, seven in the second line, and then five more syllables in the third.  It isn’t detailed news, but it’s fun!
