5 Superheroes Too Stupid To Be Avengers
The Avengers hit the silver screen this year with fantastic success. Billed as "The Earth's Mightiest Heroes"; Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, The Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye join forces to save the world from Loki and an evil alien menace. While four of these superheroes have had their own movies and are easily recognizable to even non-comic book fans, there were many other superheroes too stupid to be Avengers and that did not fare so well in making the Avenger's tryout. This is actually amazing, because the Avengers will take almost anyone as a team member. Since 1963, there have been 188 different characters in the comic series. Five Lies About “The War On Christmas”
Each year, people make posts on the internet or Facebook about Christmas that are patently false. Nothing steams me than to see these lies repeated by good intentions. I don't blame the people who post them, necessarily, because they hear them from places that they believe to be trustworthy and true. There is no "War on Christmas". It is a made-up controversy. Because you do something different than someone else doesn't mean that they are trying to take your holiday.
What it comes down to is that no one is trying to make war on the Christmas holiday season. Whether you don't believe the Christian religion or not, the entire season is about good will towards others and living in peace. That's the true "Reason for the Season". It isn't about spending money, shouting that your god is better than the next guys god, or seeing who can have the most lights on their house. 5 Reasons Why You Should See Captain America
I don't usually review movies on this blog, but I am going to make an exception in this case. Captain America: The First Avenger was released this week and it is a movie that no one should miss. It stars Chris Evans (who played the Human Torch in the Fantastic Four movies) and he does a wonderful job as America's first superhero. The movie is moving, good spirited, and has a fantastic plot. Captain America: The First Avenger opens up today and I can't wait to see it! Many people don't follow comics, however, and may not know who Captain America or who these other superheroes are showing up in their movie theaters. To answer that question, they are a soon-to-be team of superheroes that are called, The Avengers. This will be in a movie coming out in 2012, where all of them will be combined into one feature. Superhero Movies Planned For 2011
I love superhero movies, as you might have guessed if you are a reader of this blog. The movies coming out next year are really going to be amazing. It is hard to imagine that the Superhero genre of movie has been around forever, but they just never "got it right" until the last decade. With the advance of technology in movie making Hollywood is now able to make the kind of superhero movies that are a treat to watch. Combine that with good story lines and you are in for hours of entertainment. The year 2011 appears to not disappoint.
