I really like John Wayne. He's one of my all-time favorite classic actors. He's responsible for some of the best westerns and war movies ever made and I've spoken highly of his work in the past. Going through his filmography though, I've noticed some very serious blemishes on his otherwise stellar career. What was his agent thinking when he suggested these movies to the Duke? It's films like these that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have problems with! The following five movies were real stinkers when it came to the Duke's acting career. In 1999, the American Film Institute named Wayne 13th among the Greatest Male Stars of All Time.
