To Rake Or Not To Rake: That Is The Question

autumn leavesAs autumn approaches our yards will become thick with colorful leaves as they fall off the trees.  Leaves can become wet and annoying when they hinder your green grass in the spring.  Some people find an immediate need for getting rid of the leaves.  They rake them, bag them, and throw them away.  Is there an alternative to doing this?  Putting a natural product into a plastic bag and then dumping it into a landfill doesn’t seem very environmentally friendly.  Here are some options you have on what to do with all of that fall foliage. Going Green and Saving MoneyEverywhere you look there are people talking about Sustainability (i.e. Going Green) and how to recycle and conserve our natural resources.  The largest complaint is that going green costs too much money.  However, just because you are conserving doesn’t mean that you have to spend so much.  In fact, you can even SAVE money with these penny pinching tips!  Don’t look at this as a political gesture or some hidden agenda.  Just do it because it makes sense.  I welcome any ideas that you can share with our readers since going green should be a community event. I am sick to death of people sitting around complaining about who is at fault with this BP Oil Spill.  It’s BP, ok?  They screwed up, there’s oil in the Gulf of Mexico, and wildlife, our ecology and our trade is dying because of it.  The news media has turned the entire event to pointing fingers between BP and the government and still there are chants of “Drill, Baby, Drill”.  There’s oil in the water.  WE have to do something.  Here is a detailed list of what can be done.
