Many people are in an uproar about the Congress' new ruling on the use of horse meat in America. The blogosphere has been full of complaints and I've seen comments on blaming President Obama as a "horse killer". How could our leaders think it is a good idea to slaughter Black Beauty? Today marks the 139th running of the Kentucky Derby, also known as the "The Fastest Two Minutes In Sports". The Kentucky Derby is a Grade I stakes race for three-year-old Thoroughbred horses, held annually in Louisville, Kentucky, United States on the first Saturday in May. The race is one and a quarter miles at Churchill Downs. It is the first leg of the United States Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing and is followed by the Preakness Stakes then the Belmont Stakes.
