What Are Your Thanksgiving Traditions?

[ReviewAZON name=”Traditions” id=”18″ display=”inlinepost” asin=”1453720278″ trackingid=”mywebsource1-20″ country=”us” width=”200px” float=”left” imagetop=”10px”]We’re on the verge of Thanksgiving and we will be getting together with my entire family.  While I love Thanksgiving, it is typically the same thing every year.  We have a set group of traditions that are “normal” to us.  When I was younger, I just assumed that everyone did the same things.  That was until I met my wife.  Her family has an entirely different set of traditions.  It took a few years for me to get used to them, but I realized that they weren’t “wrong” in their traditions, they were just different than my own.  We live in an age where understanding and appreciating different cultures is so important, but is also something that we like to fight.  None of these traditions are wrong.  They are just different than your own.  So my question is: What do you do for Thanksgiving? Would any of them be considered strange to others?  Since my wife and I have been married, some of our Thanksgiving traditions have merged to form new ones.  Both of our families look at these as strange…Will it ever end? Will Black Friday Be Your Day Of Shopping?

Black FridayBlack Friday is coming!  It’s the day known as “the busiest shopping day of the year”.  It’s the day when every retail store seems to roll out the red carpet, open their doors at 5:00am (or earlier) and pray for the long lines of shoppers.  You can get crazy-deals on Black Friday.  I have friends claiming to buy laptops for a $100, flatscreen televisions for $200, and every toy imaginable for a song and a dance.  Before most people are even awake, “the shoppers” invade the Walmarts, Targets, and Best Buys of the nation.  Will you be one of them?  Does anyone really know why Black Friday is so important to the American shopping connoisseur?   Here’s a quick quiz for you to discover the source of this insanity – and if you’re out shopping that day, could you pick me up a Snuggie for my mom?
