Five Very Naughty Popes
So Pope Benedict XVI has been in the news lately for losing paperwork that would have defrocked a child-molesting priest. The American priest in question has been accused of raping hundreds of deaf boys and the Pope may have looked the other way when it came to a conviction. While no one would think the priest’s behavior it tolerable, some are calling for Pope Benedict to resign his office. This has never happened in the history of the Catholic Church.
