5 Celebrity Survivors of 9/11

survivors of 9/11It’s been over a decade since the 911 tragedy, but the stories are still circulating the internet. Why? Because people still cannot believe such a horrible thing could have happened. We lost 2779 people that day. We are very lucky to have had the heroes who were able to keep the casualties to the number they were. If it had not been for the hundreds of police officers and firemen and civilians who were the first to respond to the events how many more may have died? If it hadn’t been for the brave souls on Flight 93, which crashed into a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, would there have been more grieving family members? There were those people who did get lucky, though. Other Events That Happened On 9/11

William WallaceWhen most of us think about the date, September 11th, we immediately think of the events that occurred on September 11th, 2001.  On this day, terrorists commandeered four commercial jets and attacked the United States.  However, more things are associated with 9/11.  We just think of the terrorist strike because it is the most recent events and is drilled into our heads by the news media.  If you are tired about being reminded of this fateful day in U.S. history, you might want to look at other events that occurred on this date. Five Strange Facts About 9/11

September 11This year marks the tenth anniversary of the tragedy of 9/11 when terrorists took over four airplanes in the United States and crashed them into three buildings. The fourth plane was forced down in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. During the attacks, more than 3000 Americans lost their lives on that day and the country was brought together to fight off this evil. There are some questions behind the events of that day, though.  Are they coincidences?  I’d like to believe that they are just conspiracies, but many people think that the government was trying to hide something sinister.  Read the evidence and let us know what you think. Haiku NewsThe Haiku News has been immensely popular over the past three weeks.  We give you all the news in Haiku format which allows readers without time to know what’s happening in the world around them.  For those of you who do not know of the Haiku, it is a Japanese poem comprised of three lines.  The first and last line each contain five syllables.  The middle line has seven syllables.  You might have had to write a haiku in high school.  In the Haiku News, I have put together five important news stories that happened this week.  The topics go over politics, sports, U.S. news, and a feel good story.  Enjoy! Where On Google Earth Is The War On Terrorism?

Google EarthGoogle Earth is one of my favorite sites.  You can download it for free at  From there, you can see anything you want to in the world via satellite.  Today, I thought that it would be interesting if people could see the locations of the War on Terror.  Where it all started and what it exactly looks like.  I know in 2001, about a month after the attacks, my wife and I were in Washington DC and missed our exit because we were gawking at the destruction of the Pentagon building, just yards from the highway.  Now you can see it for yourself.
