Five Free Places To Visit While In NYC
When I was growing up, we used to visit New York City just about every year. I was completely clueless on the cost of the sights we would visit, but I knew there was plenty to see. New York City has never lost its appeal to me and I think that every one should visit this city should they get the chance. Make sure you pack a good pair of walking shoes, because that's the way to see the city - walking through the chasms of skyscrapers amongst the bustle of people. If you are thinking that the Big Apple is an expensive place to visit, you are right! However, tourists need not spend an arm and a leg while you are there - you can stretch that vacation dollar! Here are five free sites you can go to while visiting. I've even included some good deals in the advertisements on this page for the locals, as well! Read more...

Islamaphobia: What Is It Good For?
Are you shocked by some of the things that have been going on around this country in regards to Muslims? It's not on all of the news, but there are some terrible things being said on the news, on message boards, and in the newspapers. This is downright hatred and is no better than any group that hates others. Sadly, the truth of the matter is is that it has nothing to do with a mosque or community center going up in New York City. The news of that came up over a year ago. Where was the outrage, then? Well, it wasn't an election year. That's why you didn't hear about it. Now, mere months before the mid-term elections, it's a big deal. What makes this worse, here are five acts of hatred against Muslims going on around our country. Not since 9/11 - this is in the past two weeks! Read more...

Where On Google Earth Is The War On Terrorism?
Google Earth is one of my favorite sites. You can download it for free at earth.google.com. From there, you can see anything you want to in the world via satellite. Today, I thought that it would be interesting if people could see the locations of the War on Terror. Where it all started and what it exactly looks like. I know in 2001, about a month after the attacks, my wife and I were in Washington DC and missed our exit because we were gawking at the destruction of the Pentagon building, just yards from the highway. Now you can see it for yourself. Read more...
