I've always been a fan of sports films. The sport movie has been the launching point for several big name stars over the years. You may not always recognize these pop icons because of the bit parts that they portrayed, because, after all, it IS before they were stars.
This list includes Academy Award nominees, producers, writers, models, and directors. Who would have thought they would have started in cheesy sports movies?

For the past year, Charlie Sheen has been a tabloid sensation from problems with drugs and hookers, domestic violence, and having a very public battle with the boss of the TV series, Two and a Half Men. Most recently, Comedy Central had a roast to Charlie Sheen that set the record for most watched roast on the cable network. The game of baseball has always held a spot in my heart. The sights, sounds, and smells of the ballpark with its freshly cut grass, the shouts of the vendors, and the crack of the bat. During the year, whenever I want to relive some of those memories, I can turn to the silver screen and some of my favorite baseball movies.
