Getting To Know The Munsters
The Munsters was a television show that ran on CBS from 1964-1966. During that time, they aired 70 episodes. I was a big fan of television's The Munsters, which was similar to The Addam's Family (which ran at the same time on ABC from 1964-1966). While The Addam's Family got more recognition, I enjoyed The Munsters with their "Leave It To Beaver" innocence and humor. Do you remember The Munsters? My Favorite TV Dads From The 1960s
Television fathers are the type of dad who never got angry at you when you screwed up. They loved their kids and they loved their families. Sometimes, we got a chance to see that they were actually human and flawed, but for the most of the time, there was nothing they couldn't handle. During the 1960s, it seemed that fathers had it all under control and even though times were bad with the Vietnam War, they never seemed to affect Main Street, U.S.A.
