Five Best Sherlock Holmes
I have always been a fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's detective stories about Sherlock Holmes. Doyle was, himself, an amateur detective and professional doctor, who wrote the stories while waiting for patients. In this sense, the stories are a fictionalized autobiography of what Doyle would have done if presented with the mysteries (at least in his fantasy world). Over the years, several actors have taken up the magnifying glass and worn the deerstalker, but who was the best? Here is a list of my favorite people who have portrayed the most famous detective of all time.

Best Civil War Films On Memorial Day
The American Civil War (1861-1865) was a dark time in our history. The Union army versus the Confederate army - all Americans - struggling in mortal combat with one another over the issue of slavery and each others way of life. The movies, which this list is comprised of, may not be wholly true, but they do give you a sense of what was going on at the time. Many movies have been made on the Civil War, but these movies make up my favorite list of the War Between The States. Read more...
