The Fates Of 5 Famous People Who Wore Hoodies

Famous People Who Wore HoodiesUnless you’ve been living under a rock, then you’ve heard about the Trayvon Martin case that has been all over the news the past week or so.  As it turns out, Trayvon Martin, age 17, was shot and killed by a neighborhood watchman because he looked suspicious. The 17 year old black male was walking home and wearing a hoodie when the incident occurred.  According to Geraldo Rivera, the hoodie was equally responsible for Treyvon’s death as the gun because hoodies depict the African-American or Latino wearer as a thug and a threat to ordinary citizens.  Never mind the fact that Geraldo is Latino and has been seen on more than one occasion wearing a hoodie, himself. This article of clothing is what did the young man in. So it got me to thinking that Geraldo just might be right.  Here is a list of five famous people who wore hoodies.  They fared about as well as Trayvon Martin, too.  My advice, don’t wear a hoodie if you want to stay alive.  However, you can decide that decision for yourself…

Five Lies About “The War On Christmas”

War On ChristmasEach year, people make posts on the internet or Facebook about Christmas that are patently false.  Nothing steams me than to see these lies repeated by good intentions.  I don’t blame the people who post them, necessarily, because they hear them from places that they believe to be trustworthy and true. There is no “War on Christmas”.  It is a made-up controversy.  Because you do something different than someone else doesn’t mean that they are trying to take your holiday.

What it comes down to is that no one is trying to make war on the Christmas holiday season.  Whether you don’t believe the Christian religion or not, the entire season is about good will towards others and living in peace.  That’s the true “Reason for the Season“.  It isn’t about spending money, shouting that your god is better than the next guys god, or seeing who can have the most lights on their house.  It’s about living in harmony with your neighbors, no matter what your differences. Do You Believe In The End Of The World?

End of the WorldThey keep telling us that the end of the world is near.  The Mayans claim it is supposed to happen on December 21, 2012.  Others claim it might happen on October 23, 2011.  Do you believe any of it?  I don’t.  Would it surprise you that people have been claiming the end of the world is coming for the past 2000 years?  As a matter of fact, there are over 220 dates that people have given as predictions and, if you haven’t noticed, none of them have come to be true.  What is this weird and morose desire to predict our end?  Why would people predict an end of times?  In Christianity, it is supposed to represent the Rapture; the time when Jesus will return and bring all of our souls to Heaven.  The end of times is supposed to be a time of a great war between Good and Evil as foretold in the Book of Revelation.  Here are five dates that didn’t quite seem to be right. Five Places You Wouldn’t Expect To Find The Holy Grail

The Holy GrailFor centuries, people have been looking for the Holy Grail: the cup that collected the blood of Jesus Christ.  King Arthur sent out all of his knights to find the Grail, the Knights Templar had a particular interest in finding the Grail, and Dan Brown made a gazillion dollars making up a story about the quest.  No one has ever found this holy relic, although it still is a well-sought after cup.  When you have this many people searching for the Holy Grail, there are going to be plenty of conspiracy theories of where it has finally come to rest.  Here are five of those possible locations and why they might be relevant. Five Groups Of People That Also Follow The Golden Rule

Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto YouThe Golden Rule is well known to most of us.  In Christianity, is is commonly stated as “Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You“.  These are great rules to live by and can be found in the Gospel of Matthew (written between 55-60 AD).  The actual words from Jesus are “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” Matthew 7:12.  This wasn’t the first time this was said, however.  Here are five other times the “Golden Rule” was mentioned throughout history. Five Mysteries Taken To The Grave

Who doesn’t love a good mystery?  When the answer to the mystery is gone forever because the person who had the secret locked in their brain and never revealed the source, it becomes fascinating to us.  I’ve had a life long love for finding out about these bits of information.  The answers to these questions are long gone from our base of knowledge and all we have left to do is speculate.  Here are five of the world’s greatest mysteries that disappeared with their creators.
