How Twilight Sucks And Has Ruined America
With Twilight: Breaking Dawn coming out this week, I had to, again, express my strong dislike for this movie/book series. I had to say: "Twilight Sucks!". A lot of people will complain that I am just jealous and picking on the series. No I’m not. It’s horribly written and if you are over the age of 21 and enraptured by this series, you need to pick up a good book and expand your horizons. For the record, I’ve read all four of the books and I am in the same camp as Stephen King when he compares Twilight to Harry Potter (does that make me a member of Team: Stephen?) - "Harry Potter is about confronting fears, finding inner strength and doing what is right in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend." Read more...

Five Best Witches From TV And Movies – 2011
Last year I came out with a list of the five best witches of all time. I think I want to take that list back and add a few more of the best witches I can think of? In our old list, we had Christine O' Donnell from Delaware when she claimed that she "wasn't a witch". She's passé now and I have to move on with the times. So here is a new list of witches that you can follow for this year! Read more...
Five Best Teachers At Hogwarts
Hogwarts is one of those places that you know the teachers really care. Aside from the occasional disciplinary action, they all seemed like a good sort of witch. Like Harry Potter, I had my favorites from the series that may not have gibed with his list. These teachers just struck a nerve with me so I added them to this list. Let me know if you agree or disagree with my choices. I'd love to hear your own reasons for your top five. Warning: Spoiler Alert if you are one of the three people on the planet that haven't read the books or seen all of the movies. Read more...
Harry Potter: Best 5 Professors Of Defence Against The Dark Arts
As we are on the eve of the final Harry Potter movie I thought it would be fun to look back over some of Harry's teachers in the Defence Against The Dark Arts class (also known as D.A.D.A.). By the way, the word "defence" is spelled correctly in this case. Albus Dumbledore mentioned that no one after the applications of Tom Riddle (aka Voldemort) ever held the position of Dark Arts teacher for more than one year, so there were a lot of them. In the books, only seven are mentioned, unless you count Harry and Neville who took over their own private classes when the teaching of the class stopped. Here are my favorite professors and my take on why they were the best. WARNING: Spoiler Alert. Don't read if you haven't read the books or seen all of the movies - including the last one!
