I was listening to the radio this morning and the announcer mentioned that the President of the United States always was held in the highest regard and that each year people get more and more disrespectful. While President Obama does get his share of derogatory nicknames, they aren't as bad as some in the past. Whether you like them or not, having a nickname like "Dubya" or "Tricky Dicky" seems a lot worse than being called "Barry". But which of the Presidents had the worst nicknames? The Writers Of The Declaration of Independence
If you ask most people, they will tell you that Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence. While this is very true, he was only one of five people who came up with the draft behind this famous United States document. He was part of "The Committee of Five" requested by the Second Continental Congress to draft a letter to England declaring America a sovereign nation.
