The Amazon Kindle Fire: The Christmas Gift For 2011

[ReviewAZON name=”Kindle Fire” id=”19″ display=”inlinepost” asin=”B0051VVOB2″ trackingid=”mywebsource1-20″ country=”us” width=”200px” float=”left” imagetop=”10px”]If you are looking to purchase a gift for that special someone this year, you might want to take a look at the Kindle Fire.  The Amazon Kindle Fire is the newest edition to Amazon’s Kindle line of e-readers, but this version breaks the boundaries of the reader and comes closer to being a tablet.  This item just started shipping in mid-November and I am very impressed with the product for the price that Amazon is asking.  In fact, for this price, you could buy two Kindle Fires for less money than the Black Friday prices on the X-Box Kinect Bundle and with this, your kids are guaranteed to learn something!  With this new Kindle, you can still read books,  but now you can also watch movies, play games, browse the internet, and check your email.  What’s best is that it allows your children (or yourself) to have an easy handheld device without breaking the bank!  Kindle Fire starts at the low price of only $199.00.  If you have any more questions why this tablet is the perfect Christmas present, look no further. 2009 Origins: My Five Best Sci-Fi Movies

ScienceFictionDreamI spent the last week at the 2009 Origins Game Fair (June 24-28, 2009) in Columbus, Ohio, where I got the opportunity to interview game designers, organizers, and fans about the games and movies they love to play and watch.  In all, I spoke to more than 700 people throughout the week and got their opinions on what is hot and what is not.  One of the topics we got a chance to discuss was Science Fiction movies.  As we know, any self-described geek knows his sci-fi films and the gamers at Origins are no different!  In all, I got over 200 responses to different Sci-Fi movies – most of which I have seen and some I had never even heard of.  These guys and gals knew so much about Science-Fiction that many had trouble coming up with just five best.  See who the winners were below:
