Jim Carrey

Jim Carrey is a Canadian-American funnyman known for his big-budget comedies and television appearances on such shows as In Living Color.  He wasn’t always as recognizable as he is today, but if you go back, you’ll find yourself shaking your head and saying, “Oh yeah, that IS him!”  While Carrey now makes the big bucks when he stars in a movie, I would suspect that he didn’t command the type of salary when he made these five flicks. myFiveBest Clint Eastwood Films

Clint EastwoodOne of the greatest action stars to come across the Silver Screen, Clint Eastwood is a Hollywood icon that is still going strong in his 70’s. A great actor and director, he has been involved in many great films throughout his career. While there are so many great films this actor played in, to come up with only five films is very tough.  You may not agree with these films, but I welcome you to come up with your own films that I may have left off the list.  In my opinion, these are the five best films by this iconic actor.  Note: These aren’t in any particular order.  They are just my favorite films by Eastwood.  I only included ones that he starred in, though he may have directed a few of these, as well. Five Best John Wayne Films

John WayneJohn Wayne was one of the most beloved actors in American cinema.  He epitomized rugged masculinity and has become an enduring American icon. He is famous for his distinctive voice, walk and height. In 1999, the American Film Institute named Wayne 13th among the Greatest Male Stars of All Time.  John Wayne was born with a very non-tough guy name (Marion Robert Morrison), but he often went by his nickname, The Duke, which he earned by walking his Airedale Terrier dog with the same name.  He started acting in 1926, where he played an extra in various football movies.  They weren’t so good, but here are five of the really good films Wayne made. myFiveBest Opinions: Best Westerns Ever

westernsThe American Western has been around for 106 years, starting with the Great Train Robbery in 1903.  It retells the glory days of the cowboy, the gunslinger, and the outlaw.  The irony is that the Old West didn’t happen during the Old West.  It is widely known that most of the legendary tales of the west were exaggerated and fictionalized by the writers of the time.  The movie western followed in the tradition.  Here are my favorite five westerns. Feel free to add in your own. Read more…
