I've had a problem with my weight my entire life. I've tried just about every diet I could find to lose weight. Some work, but as soon as you go off the diet, the weight comes back. As I am naturally lazy, I have done my best to find methods that will work with as little effort as possible. I never thought I would go vegan. Like most Americans I am addicted to meat and oil. However, last October, I had a heart attack and knew I had to drastically change my diet. In January, I became a vegetarian. I was still eating fish, eggs, and oil, but I cut out chicken, beef, pork, turkey, and any other types of meat that you can think of. Still, I did not feel as well as I thought I should and the weight wasn't coming off of me as much as I wanted. Finally, a couple of weeks ago, I read a book by Dr. Caldwell B Esselstyn from the Cleveland Clinic who wrote a book called, Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease. I was hooked. I have given up all forms of animal based products and all forms of oil and I feel great! No more chest discomfort, more energy, and most importantly, I've lost 16 pounds in 2 weeks.
