Presidents Who Used The IRS

Presidents Who Used The IRSPresident Obama has found himself caught up in yet another scandal this week with controversy over the IRS using their powers to attack the Tea Party. Whether you like the Tea Party or not, this behavior is not fair, nor should it be tolerated. However, this also isn't a new development. The IRS has been going against political adversaries for years and it is only coming to light because of our constant news coverage. Since the beginning of the IRS, several administrations have gone after their political rivals. While we do not condone this strategy, it must be known that the current leaders are not alone in this tactic. Is the IRS a political goon squad? It appears that they might have been used that way.

5 Presidents Who Wanted Health Care In America

Health Care in AmericaOn June 28th, 2012 the Supreme Court of the United States deemed that the Affordable Health Care Act was constitutional. It was a shock to Republicans and a win for the President. Do you agree with the decision? Are you against it? Either way, what are your reasons? While President Obama will go down in history as the President that passed this legislation, did you know that other presidents have tried before him? Some of them even got pretty close to succeeding in the health care controversy. Here is a list of previous presidents (2 Republicans and 3 Democrats) who worked at getting Health Care in America:

Five Presidents Who Were Boy Scouts

There were five Presidents who were Boy Scouts of America, which is one of the largest youth groups in the United States. Founded in 1910, it has had over 110 million young men, of various ages, in its organization. Every president of the United States has supported the work of the Boy Scouts of America since its founding and each served as honorary president of the BSA during his term in office. Presidents Who Performed In Front Of A Live Audience

Presidents Who Performed In Front Of A Live AudienceThe other day, President Barack Obama sang "Sweet Home Chicago" on PBS along with BB King, Mick Jagger, Jeff Beck, and Buddy Guy.  The group of famous musicians were performing at the White House as part of a PBS taping for Black History Month. The President proved that he has a pretty good voice when it comes to singing the Blues.  In the past, presidents and presidential candidates have often taken to the stage to show that there is a human side to them and to relate to the general public.  This was not the first time that President Obama has done this.  Just last month, he sang "Stay Together" in Harlem, New York with Al Green and totally nailed the song. Of course, this type of grandstanding has negative results with his political opponents who have called him "The Entertainer in Chief" and are running attack ads against his performances.  Nonetheless, the spirit of performing seems to go hand in hand with the President of the United States, no matter what side of the aisle they are on.  Here are five examples of the Presidents Who Performed In Front Of A Live Audience Read more...

Five U.S. Presidents Who Got In Trouble

NixonEvery once in awhile, the political parties have to do something to stir things up with the President.  This is not to say that they are all innocent, but sometimes it gets so bad that it goes to trial - or an impeachment.  There are other ways that the President can get in trouble, too.  In this case, it is called Censure, and the government basically turns its back on the President and says, "Bad! Bad!".  It is nothing more than an official reprimand by Congress.  This happens a lot more than you'd think.  So far, thirty-two presidents have been threatened with impeachment.  It's only gone so far to impeach two of them.  Even these decisions are split along party lines: One Republican, one Democrat.  The reason we have impeachment is because Benjamin Franklin did not want our leaders to be assassinated - and we've had some really bad leaders.  We always think that the president in office is the worst president ever.  If you believe this, you need to read the list below.
