Haiku News: The Week of June 12, 2011

Haiku NewsThe Haiku News has been immensely popular over the past three weeks.  We give you all the news in Haiku format which allows readers without time to know what’s happening in the world around them.  For those of you who do not know of the Haiku, it is a Japanese poem comprised of three lines.  The first and last line each contain five syllables.  The middle line has seven syllables.  You might have had to write a haiku in high school.  In the Haiku News, I have put together five important news stories that happened this week.  The topics go over politics, sports, U.S. news, and a feel good story.  Enjoy! The Haiku News: Week of June 5th

HaikuIt’s time once again for the Haiku News for the week of June 5th, 2011.  This week in the news, there are more headlines attacking Anthony Weiner and Weinergate.  Sarah Palin is back in the news with her vast knowledge and grasp of U.S. history and the NBA finals.  Haiku is the three line Japanese poem that is based upon syllables.  You usually learn about it in school.  The adult version of this usually tries to be humorous and switch some of the details around to tell a story. The Haiku News: Week of May 29th

haikuLast week I wrote five Haikus that described the news for the week.  I got several positive emails back on this simplified way of reading the news, so I thought I’d write another one for this week.  If you are not sure what a haiku is, it is a Japanese poem written in three lines with five syllables in the first line, seven in the second line, and then five more syllables in the third.  It isn’t detailed news, but it’s fun!
