Five Tweets That Rocked The World
The world of Twitter has become an integral part of our lives. Never before have ordinary citizens had the opportunity to report on worldwide news items as they are happening. A person armed with a smart phone now has the ability to cram 140 characters into a breaking story that thousands - if not millions - of people will read. For the most part, these tweets are pretty mundane, but every once in awhile an important one comes across the internet that makes people stop and look. Haiku News: The Week of June 12, 2011
The Haiku News has been immensely popular over the past three weeks. We give you all the news in Haiku format which allows readers without time to know what's happening in the world around them. For those of you who do not know of the Haiku, it is a Japanese poem comprised of three lines. The first and last line each contain five syllables. The middle line has seven syllables. It's time once again for the Haiku News for the week of June 5th, 2011. This week in the news, there are more headlines attacking Anthony Weiner and Weinergate. Sarah Palin is back in the news with her vast knowledge and grasp of U.S. history and the NBA finals. Haiku is the three line Japanese poem that is based upon syllables. You are probably wondering how I could keep this list to only five people. Politicians always seem to be having marital problems because of their cheating ways. Whether you are Anthony Weiner or Arnold Schwarzenegger, everyone in an elected office seems to be cheating. The Haiku News: Week of May 29th
Last week I wrote five Haikus that described the news for the week. I got several positive emails back on this simplified way of reading the news, so I thought I'd write another one for this week. If you are not sure what a haiku is, it is a Japanese poem written in three lines with five syllables in the first line, seven in the second line, and then five more syllables in the third.
