Akron Pet Store Closes After Employee Drowns Rabbits
A recent story is appearing in our newspapers that deserves more attention. An Akron, Ohio pet store has closed after allegations that one of its employees drowned two rabbits in the back room and took a photo of the incident, posting it on Facebook. This atrocity has forced the closure of the Petland store located at the Chapel Hill Mall in Akron. According to the Akron Beacon Journal, the former employee – a 20 year old Ravenna, Ohio native, named Liz Carlisle has been charged with two counts of animal cruelty.
