My Five Most Useful Websites

websitesEveryone loves a free or completely cool web site.  I’ve searched the internet for years trying to find web sites that will make my life a bit easier.  I’ve tried different sites and think that I can finally share five web sites that I use all the time.  Here’s a list of what I feel are some of the most useful websites on the Internet.  These 5 sites are great tools and resources that can save you time, money and provide you with very useful information.

number1 Web MD
Web MD is the number one resource for medical news and information.  You can find information on just about any medical issue you can think of.  The Symptom Checker is a great tool that could help you understand what your symptoms could mean.

number2Retail Me Not
Retail Me Not is the biggest source of online coupons on the internet.  Before you buy anything or go anywhere, you should look here first for coupons or discounts.

number3 Mint.com
Mint.com is a web-based personal finance software that will track all your financial transactions and balances (bank accounts, car loans, credit cards, investments, etc.).  Setting up an account is quick & easy.  Mint.com is safe & secure but best of all, it’s totally free.

number4DimDim
DimDim.com is an open source web meeting software.  It works much like GoTo Meeting, but the entire system is web-based (no downloads) and, it’s free for up to 20 participants.  I actually think it’s a little more user friendly than GoTo and they offer some additional features.

number5ehow.com
Just as their tagline states, “how to do just about everything.”  This website is such a great resource.  They offer how-to’s on almost anything you can think of.

    Just a few comments —

DimDim is not free, or at least it is not free anymore! Also, when I click on the link, the following appears in the location bar:

    https://estore.dimdim.com/user/affiliateSubscription?PID=2518119

Are you an affiliate? Would have appreciated you mention this in the article!

DimDim is free for up to 20 people like the article says. It costs if you want to have up to 50 people or 1000 people.

I don’t have a problem with the affiliate. Why do you think there are so many blogs out there – for your personal enjoyment? Great blog! Keep it up!
