How Well Do You Know The United States?
A recent study out of Newsweek showed that a large portion of United States citizens don't know the laws of the land. They found that 29 percent of people couldn't name the vice president, 73 percent couldn't name the reason for the Cold War and 44 percent couldn't define the Bill of Rights. What is the reason for this? Is it that people are overwhelmed with information being forced upon them? Is it a lack of education or just the apathy of not wanting to know how our government works? Could it be that it is because our news agencies no longer report the news, but rather their opinions?
