Get 1000s of People To Look At Your Business in FIVE Months
You heard that right. You can get thousands – no tens of thousands – of people to look at your business within five months. Don’t believe it? Not only can it be done, it can be done in less time. You have to be dedicated, my methods don’t suffer fools, but if you want to succeed at getting your business noticed, then I can show you how to do it. How do I know it will work? I’ve done it.
Start a Blog.
You’ve heard about these things, right? No, they aren’t little online diaries so you can tell your friends what you are doing later this afternoon. OK, they could be, but you want to get your business noticed so going out for coffee at lunch isn’t going to attract the crowds you want. You need to start a blog so people will find a need to find out about your business. It is a great way for you to connect with your customers and have people start asking questions about what you do. Are you afraid of setting up a blog and then failing? It took me half a dozen tries before I got it right. What’s more, maintaining a blog is easy! You know you can handle Microsoft Word and putting information into a blog is pretty much the same. Plus that, you get to tell colleagues that you have a blog. If you have any questions, or you are interested in having us set up a blog for you, leave a comment below or contact us today for more information.
Write Something Interesting – or Borrow It.
This is a huge fear for many people, right behind speaking in public and dying (I’ve done both, ask me about it sometime). The funny thing is, if you know how to scour the internet, you don’t even have to write a lot, just a few tips here and there. How about showing people the instructions on working the products you sell? Own a restaurant? Why not tempt people with that delicious eggplant, roasted red pepper and fontinella sandwich that has been getting the rave reviews? If you think about it, you can always write or find something to put into your blog. Other bloggers love it when you write a couple of lines and then put a link back to their blog. Putting your comments on other blogs is a great way to find out how you can be attracting more customers. It’s that big white box below this article. Give it a try! I love giving out advice on topics I love.
Self-Promote What You Write.
Maybe this is your weak point. A lot of people are good at their business, but then lousy when it comes to promoting what they do. You don’t have to be one of them. Promoting your blog is very simple today. There are mini-programs –or plug ins- that do the work for you. They are easy to find or you can ask an expert. When I first started thinking about how I could start a blog I was working with a customer who was making about $85/day from his own blog. He wanted to allow his business to grow and hired me to help with the promotion of his site. Increasing revenue on his blog wasn’t hard to do and I learned a lot of the fundamentals that makes a blog sell your business. There are ways you can even make money at writing along the way! Blogs aren’t just a waste of time like many business owners think. You have to be prepared to think (shameless cliché) outside of the box and funnel your customers to your business. Ask some of the “Big Boys” like IBM, Microsoft, HP, and Xerox why they hire professional bloggers to work for them. It isn’t because they are throwing money away. It’s because they are generating income for their businesses.
Wouldn’t you love to know how to do this for your own company?
Do It Again Tomorrow.
This isn’t something that you can do today and forget tomorrow. “But I don’t have time to waste blogging on something that doesn’t have a definitive return on my investment (ROI).” I wasn’t kidding when I said that you can attract thousands of visitors to your business. I’ve had days when I’ve had over 3000 people looking at just ONE post! Imagine that? You write something and more than three thousand people come to check out what it was you wrote. Have you ever had three thousand people walk through your door in a day? How about pick up the phone and call you? I am guessing you haven’t. Some of the articles I write about are ones that you’d never expect to be on fire. They aren’t about sex or violence or political news. They are just about some mundane, trivial facts- but people read them. It started off slow and then ramped up. You just have to have the wherewithal to make it over the hump and get people to come to your blog. That means constantly putting out new material and promoting yourself. It seems like a lot of work – and it is, but when the numbers start growing and people start commenting, it all becomes clear as to why you are doing this.
There are others online that have blogs that may relate to your business. If you own a hardware store, there are dozens of blogs just on Craftsmen Tools. Connect with them, comment on their sites, let people know you have a blog that relates to what they are talking about. Offer to guest-write on other people’s blogs. Or, you can just leave a comment. Like I said, bloggers LOVE it when they know their writings and ramblings are being read. They will surely do the same for you, as well. Find blogs of interest and put them into a list called a “Blogroll”. This is basically you giving these other blogs the “thumbs up” when it comes to recommendations for others. You can let people see what comments are being made on your blog. You can communicate with others and generate more traffic.
It doesn’t matter what size your business is. You can definitely benefit from writing a blog. Get out there and be a part of the growing world. People are blogging on news, products, and offering tips on how to use their products. Why can’t you be one of them?
I started my blog on May 26, 2009. By August, I had 45,000 people coming to my site and reading different pages each month. The numbers continued to grow and I started making money at something I really loved to do. I don’t sell a product, I don’t promote behaviors, I just write about random trivia – and I make money doing it! If your business could stand that type of exposure, then perhaps blogging is what you should be doing! If you think it is, then ask me how you can become a part of the “blogosphere”. (That’s just a fancy way of saying you want people to recognize your business and you want to attract thousands of those people.)
