Five Must Haves for Tailgating
Football season is among us once again. Whether it be college or pro games that you attend, there is one sight you will always see, tailgating. Tailgating is a great way to prepare for a game. You can eat and drink for a lot cheaper than you can in the game and you can just relax and have a good time before you get into the crowded stadium. Here are five things all tailgaters must have.
Food - Burgers, hot dogs, sausages, and ribs are all perfect foods to have at a tailgate party. Of course you will need all the condiments and buns to accomodate that food. Have everybody that you know is going to be tailgating with you bring something so you know that there will be plenty to go around.
A Grill - How else would you prepare those burgers and dogs? All you need is a small grill to get buy, but if you want to really do it big you should go all out and buy a grill big enough to fill up the back of a truck. This will also guarantee that you will be well liked among fellow tailgaters.
Beer - Beer makes the tailgating world go around. You should also have pop or water for your underage tailgaters, but beer (and lots of it) is a necessity. But you need to watch how much beer you drink because after too much to drink, what could be a harmless jab at your team could start World War III.
Miscellaneous Games - Cornhole is my favorite game to play while tailgating. Cornhole is actually one of my favorite games to play anywhere (I AM A CORNHOLE GOD). Washers is another fun game to play while tailgating. You may want to bring a football and if there is enough room you could play a small game of touch football. I have even seen guys sit around the beer cooler and play football trivia games for money. The possibilities are endless.
Your Team's Apparel - When you go to tailgate you want to show why you are there. You don't want to be THAT guy who shows up wearing a polo or something rediculous like that. You want to rock your team's jersey or at least a team t-shirt. Once you show up to tailgate at the stadium or somewhere close by, you don't want to be the only person there not wearing team colors. I've done it and it wasn't fun.
These are just a few basic things that you need for a tailgate party. I'm sure that everybody does a lot of extra stuff, but these are the five must have items for tailgating. Now get out there and party hard so by halftime you can get thrown out of the game in a drunken mess.
