Five Halloween Costume Ideas for Pregnant Women

pregnunAs Halloween approaches we will begin to see all of the seasonal Halloween items go on sale at the major department stores and the seasonal stores such as Halloween USA. People who know for sure that they will be going to costume parties usually start pondering what they are going to be around this time. For pregnant women, you have a lot of other things to worry about than what you are going to be for Halloween. Well, here are five ideas for costumes for pregnant women.

number1  Skeleton With Baby - I have seen this costume done before and thought it was pretty funny. The best part about the costume is that it is very easy. All you need to do is get yourself a skeleton costume that fits, then you could do one of two things. 1) Get a picture of a baby skeleton and tape it to your stomach so that it looks like you can see the skeleton fetus, or 2) Cut a hole for your belly to fit and have a good artist draw the skeleton fetus on your belly. Either way it makes for a good costume.

number2  Outcast Angel - This idea is a little risky and could offend many people. You would need a typical angel costume that you are going to alter. The halo should be bent and crooked and the length of the outfit should be cut off high on the legs. The idea is to look like you are the angel that was outcast because of your sleazy ways. I don't know why but each year girls use Halloween as a way to reveal a lot of themselves via their costume, so why not let pregnant women in on the act.

number3  Pregnant Nun - This one is classic, but also offensive. It's obvious what the twist is for this costume. Obviously, all you would need is a nuns outfit because the rest is self explanatory. This costume could really be great if the nun was accompanied by a priest, which would be your significant other, or anybody else that wanted to fill those shoes.

number4  Cat With Fishbowl- This costume would require you knowing a good artist that could paint a fishbowl with scared fish on your belly. As for the rest of the costume, you could go all out with a full body cat costume with just the belly cut out, or you could only where claws, cat ears, and paint whiskers and the nose on your face. After everything is done you can do things like walk around holding your belly and you will look like a cat holding a fishbowl.

number5  Famous Hefty Man - If you are at the stage in your pregnancy where you look like you are about to pop (and your in the mood to dress up) then why not go as a hefty male celebrity. It is always funny to dress as the opposite sex, being pregnant will just add on to the hilarity. Last year I saw a preggo woman go as Teddy Roosevelt and it was hilarious. Other people that you could think about going as include: Jack Nicholson, Elvis, Santa Clause (an evil one of course), or Larry the Cable Guy.

These are just a few ideas that I have heard about and seen. Just get creative because regardless you will make an impact just being at the Halloween party, after all you are pregnant!
