Five Funny Will Ferrell Moments

WillFerrell_350x435Will Ferrell is one of those actors that people either love or hate. I for one think he is one of the funniest current actors. His comedy style might be the same for all of his movies but for me, it never gets old. Here are 5 of Will Ferrell’s funniest moments.

number1  Dart in the Neck (Old School) – In a scene with Sean William Scott playing an exterminator, Will Ferrell shoots himself in the neck with a tranquilzer gun. Sean William Scott then tells him what he did but Will Ferrell doesn’t believe him. That is when the best part of the scene happens, Ferrell utters in slow tranquilizer induced motion “You’re, You’re crazy, I like you but your crazy.” He then proceeds to knock a bunch of stuff over until he falls into the pool. Hilarity!

number2  The Meaning of San Diego (Anchorman) – In the scene Will Ferrell’s character, Ron Burgundy, is trying to impress Christina Applegate’s character. When discussing how great San Diego is Will Ferrell says “Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diago, which of course in German means a whales vagina.” Applegate then calls him out by saying that there is no way that is correct. Ferrell then says ” I’m sorry, I was trying to impress you. I don’t know what it means. I’ll be honest, I don’t think anyone knows what it means anymore. Scholars maintain that the translation was lost hundres of years ago.” She then calls him out once more by saying what it actually means. I laughed until I cried at this part during the movie.

number3  The Devil as a Musician (SNL) – In a skit with Garth Brooks on Saturday Night Live, Will Ferrell plays the devil. Brooks agrees to sell his soul to the devil in order to be a successful musician. Whenever Will Ferrell performs his songs for Brooks, they are terrible. What is funny about the skit is the way Ferrell comes in and out as being the ferocious satan and being just a normal guy. The funniest line of the skit is when Ferrell is asked what kind of guitar he has and he replies by screaming “It’s a hell spawn built from the bones of fornicators, aaaaahhhh!” and then softly says “It’s a fender.”

number4  Dear Baby Jesus (Talladega Nights) – In Talladega Nights, Will Ferrell’s character Ricky Bobby, keeps refering to Jesus Christ as Baby Jesus during his prayer. Some quotes from the movie are as follows: “Dear tiny Jesus, in your golden fleece diapers with your tiny, little fat balled up fists”, “Dear eight pound, six ounce, newborn Baby Jesus, don’t even know a word yet, just a little infant, so cuddly, but still omnipotent”, “Dear Lord Baby Jesus, lying there in your…your little ghost manger, lookin’ at your Baby Einstein developmental…videos, learnin’ ’bout shapes and colors.” As he says in the movie, he likes the little Christmas Jesus the best.

number5  Ma! Meatloaf (Wedding Crashers) – In the scene Will Ferrell is talking with Owen Wilson. Ferrell asks Wilson if he wants something to eat and ignores the fact that Wilson says no and screams “Ma! Can we get some meatloaf?” As the scene goes on, Ferrell gets more and more irritated that he hasn’t received the meatloaf and continues to scream “MA! MEATLOAF, NOW!” or some other variation of that randomely throughout the scene. Ferrell’s character then proceeds to tell Wilson’s character that he crashes funerals in order to hook up with girls….what a guy.

These are some moments that I find exceptionally funny from Will Ferrell. There are many more.
