Five Crazy Political Ads

We’re living in some crazy times.  The political ads are starting to appear and we’ll soon be embroiled in another nightly siege of mudslinging commercials.  Who do you choose?  Will you vote Democrat, Republican, or Independent?  It doesn’t matter, but these commercials represent the type of people running for office.  Nothing seems taboo to these people in their run for office - racism, hatred, political bias - it's all on the table, or rather our televisions and radios until the next election.  Here are five of the worst political ads I could find.

Dan Fanelli for U.S. Congress (R-FL)
This guy is running for the U.S. Congress in Florida in District 8.  Yeah, it is the real deal.  There are complaints about being pulled aside in line at the airport, and believe me, I think some of them are ridiculous, too, but I still want to be safe.  Not this guy!  Just watch and shake your head...

Dale Peterson for Agricultural Commissioner (Alabama)
I know Alabama has a serious handicap when it comes to entering the twenty-first century, but this is the type of commercials they are running down in this Southern state.  Don’t get me wrong, I am not blaming everyone in Alabama.  I am sure there are plenty of good, forward-thinking people from this state, but should your agricultural commissioner be carrying a rifle in his political ad?

Tim James for Governor (R-AL)
This guy isn’t trying to force you to speak English, he just wants to save you money.  At least that’s what he’s saying in his commercial...he’s running for governor, but you have to be an English-speaking voter to understand what he’s saying.

Carly Fiorina for U.S. Senate (R-CA)
This video is on here, not because of its racially motivated or attacking the “other side”.  On the contrary, it is against the same party.  The video made the list because of its demon sheep that appears towards the end of the video.  It’s actually, pretty frightening.  I’ll never be able to count sheep to get to sleep again!

Glenn Miller for U.S. Senate (WPP-MO) -that stands for White Patriot Party
Self-proclaimed white supremist, Glenn Miller (not THAT Glenn Miller of 1940s musical fame) is running for Senator in Missouri.  It’s not a joke, he’s been on the radio in Missouri, on the Howard Stern Show, and his hate filled comments make sure they offend everybody.  What’s really scary is that someone like this might actually win somewhere.
