Candy: For Medicinal Use OnlyNiki from The Gamer's Fridge is back at it again with this new article on the medicinal qualities of candy.  Can that be right?  Candy!  Good for you, it can’t be true. Can it? Candy can do good things for you, in moderation. We’ve all heard of the benefit of dark chocolate.   It can lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of heat disease and increase your antioxidants. (Editor's Note: Now if I can only convince my wife of this!) Here are 5 other candies that also have health benefits.

Mint Candy: Well known for its oral and breath refreshing but did you know that mint also aids in digestion it soothes and calms the stomach to stop or prevent indigestion. The aroma of mint also activates saliva glands aiding in digestion. Mint also aids in nausea and headaches, many people keep balms with them while traveling, just a quick smell stops the nausea and applying the balm to your forehead and nose when a headache starts can relieve it quickly.

Lemon Drops: Mothers-to-be use lemon drops to lesson the effects of morning sickness. Cancer patients find lemon drops to aid in dry mouth and the bad taste in the mouth some medicines and treatments can cause. Lemon drops also increase saliva flow with helps fight against cavities, oral infections and gum disease. Use sugar free lemon drops to further fight against tooth decay.
