Five Best Garth Brooks Songs

garth brooksGarth Brooks is one of the all time best selling country artist of all time. In fact, he is one of the best selling artist of any music. He could have a list that goes to 5o for his best songs. Personally, he is my favorite artist from any genre of music, and I believe that he always will be. Here is what I believe his five greatest songs are.

number1  The Dance - The Dance is actually Garth’s favorite song. It is a song about losing loved ones due to how they live their lives (at least this is how I interpret the song). He is saying that he could have missed the pain, but then he would have missed the dance. The video to the song shows various famous people who are deceased. People such as Lane Frost, JFK, Martin Luther King Jr, and Keith Whitley.

number2  Friends in Low Places - This song has to be Brook’s greatest up tempo song. The song is about him showing up at his girlfriends date with another man. Then the uninvited guest goes on to toast the two in their “black tie affair” by talking about his friends in low places. The song almost was taken by another up and coming country artist, but luckily Brooks went ahead and recorded it.

number3  The Thunder Rolls - The Thunder Rolls is a song that is about a woman waiting up for her husband late at night. When he finally gets home, she smells another woman’s perfume on him and it is all set to the sound of a storm. The storm represents what the couple’s relationship is like. This is one of the coolest songs to watch Brooks sing live because in many of his concerts he would actually have water (in the effect of rain) pour down on him and his band.

number4  Ain’t Goin Down (Till the Sun Comes Up) - This song has it all. If you like acoustic guitar, drums, electric guitar, a face melting harmonica, and verses that you have to try to and catch your breath to sing, then this is the song for you. Ain’t Goin Down is also a very popular line dance song amongst the line dancing community. Usually the line dances associated with this song are pretty hard to pick up, so beginners, be careful.

number5  If Tomorrow Never Comes - This song is a great song to make you go hug a loved one. It teaches us not take any moments for granted when it comes to loved ones. If Tomorrow Never Comes is about making sure that the person you care about most knows just how much you care about them, because you never know if you will have another chance to tell them. Remember, tomorrow is not promised.

These are just a few great songs from Garth Brooks. I hope he comes out of retirement (again) and continues to blow people away. Let’s just hope he doesn’t try that whole Chris Gaines thing again, what a disaster.
