Five Best Free Dates
This is the worst time of the year if you are the type to penny pinch. For those of you who are in new relationships, then here is a treat for you. There are plenty of things that people can do while on dates that don’t cost much, or better yet anything at all. Here are my five best free dates.
Depending on the part of the country you live in, this is the time of the year that the snow starts falling and people curse the thought of going outside. Just because you are an adult doesn’t mean you have to be so angry when it snows, use the snow to your advantage and find a nice big hill and take your date for some sled riding. Who knows, your date will probably appreciate the fun side of you that shows that they can have an awesome time with you without spending money. Just make sure you’re not trying to go too extreme with the sledding and end up injuring your date.
STROLL IN THE PARK
Only do this if you live near a really nice park. You don’t want to take your date to the park where there is a chance you could run across a drug deal, or a sting operation trying to bust old pervs. Have a picnic, feed the ducks, pet other people’s dogs. All of this will allow you to spend time with your date and get to know them.
As long as you and your date aren’t a total klutz, head to a public ice skating pond. Your date will have a chance to laugh everytime you bust your butt, and believe it or not you will enjoy it. Don’t be afraid to be the cheesy couple holding hands and smiling ear to ear while skating around the pond. Word of advice: STAY AWAY from the hazard areas.
If you live in the warmer parts of the country where you don’t have to worry about the snow, then hiking is a great opportunity to get to know your date and have some fun while doing it. The criteria here is that your date needs to somewhat like the outdoors, if not then hiking might not be the best choice. However, in the early stages of a relationship both parties are so excited just to be going on a date that they wouldn’t care what they are doing.
PRACTICE PUTTING & CHIPPING GREENS
I know, I know, you are saying “What?” If you are a golfer take your date to a golf course and get out your putter and pitching wedge. Don’t go play nine holes, just stick to the practice green. You two will be able to talk and one again, get to know each other. The teaching aspect of putting and chipping will allow for closeness and touching, which is important barrier to break for both parties who may be nervous.
