Thanks the wealth of knowledge that you have provided for me. I don't have much use for sugar but I am going to have to go in and dig a little deeper on your info on the papayas,(which I don't know why I care ,I don't even like them!!) I have been to the Hawaiian Islands 3 times and one my favorite places was the Dole Plantation, And after touring for several hours and seeing all the banana, mango, and papaya trees growing so naturally out in those massive fields???? Well I have to get back to you on that one. Any who...
I am lucky I was raised on a farm where every thing we ate we grew, and I have family members who still hold on to that tradition of growing and harvesting their own veggies so luckily I am supplied very well in the summer with "home grown", A lot of which I will can and freeze for later use.

For some reason your response didn't show up in my inbox. Sorry for the delay in response.
Have you ever considered asking a farmer directly as your source? The HumaneMyth video twists things around and has some of their facts wrong. If you look at veal consumption in the Unites States, it is a very small percentage of the meat we eat. Many anti dairy groups like to tell people that male dairy calves are destined to a future as veal calves. This simply is not true. Estimates are that less than 10% of male dairy calves go to veal production. Holstein bull calves are most often raised as steers. While they don't exactly match beef breeds for growth they aren't that much further behind. But that fact doesn't tug at the heart strings as much as the idea of veal calves. As far as insemination goes... Not all dairy farms use AI by any means, many dairy farms still use bulls to impregnate their cattle. Conception rates are higher for farms that use bulls because a bull will breed a cow several times while she is in heat and with AI she would only be bred once. So saying that AI is a more reliable way to get animals pregnant is false. We use AI on our farm because I don't trust bulls and I want a wide genetic selection for my cows. Speaking of bulls, what they insert into a cow is much larger that an AI pipette. The only place I have seen the term "rape rack" used is on animal rights literature. I have never heard anyone use that term on a farm. I don't see anywhere in these videos that say what you said about cows in your post. Again you don't have to partake in animal agriculture but please, learn more about the topic before you attack. I am happy to answer your questions.

Thanks for your response, Carrie. I got my information from several sources before writing the article. I am not saying that what you are claiming is right or wrong - or whether or not you use them - but I didn't take the info from one source. Here are a few of the sources I used for some of the terms and conditions that I described.

Video about what I wrote about:

Hi,
As you can probably tell from my name, I am a big fan of cheese. While I respect your right to be vegan I would like to clear up some of your statements about cows. First a 6mo old calf would never be able to be milked. A cow doesn't create milk until she has a calf. A cow's gestation is 9mo, same as a human. So unless the calf got pregnant 3mo before it was born it would be impossible to milk a 6mo old calf.
Most heifers (a heifer is a female that has not had a calf yet) are bred around 13-16mo old. They have their first calf right around the time they turn 2 years old.
Cows are not kept continually pregnant. After a cow has a calf dairy farmers wait 2-3 months to rebreed them. A pregnant cow also has what's called a dry period before she calves where she is not milked. That is usually for the 2mo before her due date.
Lastly the idea of a "rape rack" is pretty far off. Some farmers keep bulls for breeding their cows and they breed the cows. Some farmers use artificial insemenation which is using frozen semen to impregnate the cows. A cow comes into heat roughly every 21 days. She is only able to get pregnant while she's in heat and that applies to a bull or AI breeding.
Like I said, I respect your right to choose what you

Billy, if you read the works of Plutarch, Appian, and Florus - there really isn't a lot of information to be gained by this slave revolt and their stories are all different. However, it is stated that Crassus (the richest man of Rome) attacked Spartacus and his remaining slave army with a force of 7 Legions (about 42,000 soldiers). The final battle occurred at the present territory of Senerchia on the right bank of the river Sele in the area that includes the border with Oliveto Citra up to those of Calabritto, near the village of Quaglietta, in High Sele Valley, which at that time was part of Lucania. Six thousand of his surviving followers were crucified along the Appian Way from Rome to Capua.

After a while I wanted to to jus how much of the series is based on actual events and from what all I've read on many sites it is pretty close to what historians claim took place but one question I do have is about the cilician pirates in the series they betray spartacus and had roman soldiers hidden inside the ship. Did they really bring the soldiers to attack spartacus?

Myth Busters Program-Obama puts Myth Busters to the test. Jamie and Adam tried to test Archimedes Ray. Archimedes theroy has to be retested because I think you and President Obama were close to solving some of the mystery. In Ancient reliefs that I saw many years ago Archimedes was sitting and using some type of Ray. This is could be something similar to the ray used for the Griecian Ships, but the leads me to conclude that Archimedes used not only one type of appartus, but two or more. Archimedes is a real GENIUS and I believe the stone relief is what he used in that situation along with the 500 mirrors which is possible to reach conditions to cause serious problems.

so... you mentioned that; "nor is it degrading to religious beliefs" and yet you don't really explain the origin at all, you say, immigrants brought it in the 1700's but totally miss the actual 'origin' itself... Ishtar pronounced easter was a babylonian goddess of fertility and sex. how is celebrating a middle eastern ancient goddess not degrading to any religion that says otherwise? ^^
