To Go To Hell – Literally
Have you ever told someone to "go to Hell"? When you stated that, you probably didn't mean it in the literal sense. For centuries, people have believed that the way to Hell is under your feet. However, did you know that some people actually believe there is a Hell that you can get to by airplane, car, or bus? It may not be the ideal vacation spot for most of us, but if you are looking for a unique spot, it beats the hell out of going to Hell, Michigan. There are places all over the earth that people consider to be entrances into the worst place that religion can imagine and now you can go there, too.
The coordinates are included with each location so you can find them on Google Earth or consult with your travel agent. Have a fun time and go to Hell! Read more...

Five Great Mexican Vacation Spots
My wife and I first went to Mexico on our honeymoon seven years ago. While Cancun is always considered a "party town" by college students, we were looking for a place to go and relax, do some touristy stuff, and have a good time. What we found is that Mexico is full of beautiful scenery, wonderful people, and a rich history. We are looking to go back again whenever we get the chance and are looking for some of the hidden treasures of the country that we missed the first time around. Here are five locations that are absolutely wonderful vacation spots. I'd be interested in hearing some of your own thoughts on these choices. Read more...

Five Free Places To Visit While In NYC
When I was growing up, we used to visit New York City just about every year. I was completely clueless on the cost of the sights we would visit, but I knew there was plenty to see. New York City has never lost its appeal to me and I think that every one should visit this city should they get the chance. Make sure you pack a good pair of walking shoes, because that's the way to see the city - walking through the chasms of skyscrapers amongst the bustle of people. If you are thinking that the Big Apple is an expensive place to visit, you are right! However, tourists need not spend an arm and a leg while you are there - you can stretch that vacation dollar! Here are five free sites you can go to while visiting. I've even included some good deals in the advertisements on this page for the locals, as well! Read more...

The Statehood Quiz: Georgia
It's been awhile since I did a statehood quiz. You can find all of them, so far, on myFiveBest.com. This one is for the southern state of Georgia. It's made up of five questions about the state. Georgia, as you may know, is the home of the Atlanta Braves, the NFL's Atlanta Falcons, and NBA's Atlanta Hawks. It was the fourth state to announce it's part in the United States, which it did on January 2, 1788. Georgia was considered a sovereign state of the Articles of Confederation (not to be confused with the Confederate States that it would belong to during the 1860s). It has a rich history and plenty of trivia behind it. Read more...

The Statehood Quiz: New Jersey
New Jersey was the third state admitted into the Union on December 18, 1787 - six days after Pennsylvania became the second state. Originally called the Province of New Jersey, it was under British rule since the surrender of Fort Amsterdam in 1664, when the Dutch lost it. Bordered by New York City and Philadelphia, New Jersey is the most densely populated state in the United States. The area was inhabited by Native Americans for more than 2,800 years, with historical tribes such as the Lenape along the coast. In the early 17th century, the Dutch and the Swedes made the first European settlements. It was named after the largest of the British Channel Islands, Jersey, where one of its early English governors was born. Here are five questions about the state...and if you don't know them, you don't know New Jersey! Read more...
