Where On Google Earth Is The War On Terrorism?
Posted by Jimm in History, Technology on August 3rd, 2010
Google Earth is one of my favorite sites. You can download it for free at earth.google.com. From there, you can see anything you want to in the world via satellite. Today, I thought that it would be interesting if people could see the locations of the War on Terror. Where it all started and what it exactly looks like. I know in 2001, about a month after the attacks, my wife and I were in Washington DC and missed our exit because we were gawking at the destruction of the Pentagon building, just yards from the highway. Now you can see it for yourself. Full Story »

My Five Favorite Features From My Palm Pre Plus
Posted by Dennis Howell in Technology on May 4th, 2010
I have recently made a switch from Sprint to Verizon. Sprint decided that they did not want to replace a phone that would not allow me to set my ringer to anything other than vibrate due to a software error. I did what I had to do and went with what is a better company anyway. In doing so, I purchased the Palm Pre Plus because I didn’t want to go all out and get a Droid, but I wanted something that I could download apps on. I also wanted to dive into the touchscreen world. I guess when it comes to cellphones, I am somewhat of a dinosaur. The Pre Plus is not all touch screen though, the phone does slide up and has a full QWERTY keyboard. Here are the five features that made me purchase this phone. Full Story »
