World’s Most Dangerous Drugs

Dangerous DrugsThere is always been a big controversy over the legalization of dangerous drugs. One side argues that they are harmful, while others state that they are harmless to everyone but the person taking them. Who really knows? Maybe one day they will all be legal and you will have to judge if you use them for yourself. Today, the most common of these are illegal or not available without a prescription. The one's on this list are a bit different, though. These are SUPER drugs. Stuff made up to really, REALLY get you high.

Ted Nugent Threatens ObamaRight-Wing, Second Amendment nut job Ted Nugent made the news again. As you might have heard, on April 16, 2012, Nugent made some threatening comments to President Obama and the Democratic leadership at the NRA Convention. I am not against the Second Amendment. I think we all should have the right to bear arms. However, when you are talking to a crowd of people who are gun waving members of a group that hates this Presidency and you try to incite emotions of homicide, you are not outspoken. You are an ass. What do you think?

“Pepper Spray” Pike: You’ve Been Meme’d…

Yesterday, there were some pictures and comments posted about the Occupy protesters.  One of them was a Lieutenant police officer from University of California at Davis who was pepper spraying about 30 students sitting in a row.  Since that post, "Pepper Spray" Pike has been placed on indefinite administrative leave from his job.  Whether that was a political move on the part of UC Davis or not is up for conjecture.  UC Davis alumni are asking for the removal of the Chancellor Linda Katehi and Lt. Pike.  A letter went out yesterday asking them to stop sending their support to the University until these two people are fired.  A picture was sent out of Pike spraying the individuals on the ground accompanied with his personal email address and phone number (which was re-posted here).  Now, at the speed of the internet, the Lieutenant's image has been turned into an internet meme.  According to the dictionary, a meme is "an idea, behavior or style that spreads from person to person within a culture." In an article from Fast Company magazine this has been spreading like wildfire across the net.  Here are some of the most memorable of these memes. Read more...
